They got rid of Wand Specialization and replaced it with Twin Discipline on the Discipline talent tree! Your first 5 talent points should go in here. No matter which spec you decide to go, your healing and dmg instant spells will get a 5% boost from this talent.
Now, 5% may not seem like much.. but imagine Devouring Plague, Shadow Word: Pain, Renew, etc... Very useful in all situations! Also, if you have the Power Word: Shield glyph inscribed, that will also give your target a little boost from heals from shield as well.
