One of my favorite features in WotLK is Barbershop. From private server, to retail, I kept my character the same. But with the new achievement system, I decided to get a new look (maybe earrings?) for some free points. I ended up changing my color, hairstyle, and earrings! However, if you plan to get a new look, do it early in levels.
The higher the level, the more it will cost to get a customization. Now, there is talk and speculation about Blizzard adding more looks to add further variety in future patches... One can hope! The fun thing about getting a new hairstyle, is each style has a unique name... and it's somewhat helpful in choosing a style that best fits you.
